About Roger A. Rebetez

Text, Film, Art and Technology: Recurring themes in his work and passion for life. A lot of Computer Science lectures in his 20's and for many years consultant at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), where he was primarily dealing with Broadcast Technology and Video on the Internet as well as co-architecting the successful Podcast Portal. In addition to his tasks at the university he worked as a Director, Editor und DoP on several short- and documentary films such as Paris Visite or Eat Snow, some of them shown in competition at international film festivals.

For almost a decade he also was a film critic for a public radio station in Zurich and the fact that he's an avid music lover led in recent years to collaborative projects with Christy Doran's New Bag, Grand Pianoramax from New York and Tonhalle Zurich.

He is currently working as a copywriter for advertising agency Jung von Matt/Limmat and as a writer for magazines and newspapers. Published articles in NZZ Folio, Weltwoche, Bilanz and others. Roger lives in Zurich, Switzerland and believes that it never rains in Southern California.
